SUMMARY:Collective Campus art project with Peter Piek
DESCRIPTION:Art connects - regardless of location\, medium or experience.
All it takes is a piece of chalk to turn passers-by into artists\, create
encounters and give your own creativity a visible voice. Anyone can become
part of the whole - young or old\, beginner or professional. The forecour
t of the Orangery will be transformed into a giant canvas.\nThe art event
is a collective experience: a large-scale chalk painting campaign in which
everyone can take part. It symbolises the power of art to connect people
and shows how creativity serves as a bridge to better understand each othe
 r. Even with the simplest of tools such as chalk\, depth\, beauty and comm
unity can be created - directly\, visibly and together.\nWhat emerges is n
ot a rigid work of art\, but a temporary mosaic of the city - a reflection
of its diversity and togetherness. Over the course of the event and the f
ollowing days\, the collective work will constantly change: Colours overla
p\, footprints blur contours\, the wind interferes with images and finally
the rain will wash everything away. A symbol of the fleeting\, living nat
ure of artistic creation.\nAbout the artist:\nPeter Piek is an internation
 ally active artist\, musician\, author and performer - and a true multi-ta
lent. Born in Chemnitz\, he combines music\, painting\, performance and li
terature in his work to create an independent\, colourful Gesamtkunstwerk.
\nPeter Piek has also made a name for himself in the visual arts: his work
s have already been exhibited in Europe\, Asia and North America. His work
s are characterised by bold colours\, abstract figures and an expressive v
isual language.\nWhether on stage or on canvas\, Peter Piek's work stands
for independence\, a love of experimentation and a deep humanistic concern
. With his projects\, he wants to open up spaces\, bring people together a
nd initiate creative processes.\nParticipation is very simple:\nEveryone i
s invited to create freely: Sketches\, patterns\, symbols\, writing. There
are no limits to creativity. Participation is free and possible without r
egistration. Free coloured chalks will be distributed at several points ar
 ound the square.\n\n\n\n
