the city\, meeting people from Chemnitz and developing new artistic ideas.

 rventions.Viet Phuong Nguyen (TIEV)vasesace.soleil2025Viet Phuong Nguyen (
TIEV) is both a trained ceramist and part of the self-taught art collectiv
e BIKINI KOMMANDO. TIEV's works contain a recognisable rigour of craftsman
ship\, which at the same time finds contradiction in his childlike defianc
e of the outdated image of ceramics. The process of his creations is alway
s planned from spontaneity\, experimenting and testing new and old techniq
ues\, such as baking.\nTIEV follows the traces of change on the Sonnenberg
. He is interested in places to which he feels personally connected and wh
ich at the same time point to developments in the neighbourhood\, the orig
ins of which often lie in lack\, inequality or social disinterest\, but wh
ich create the breeding ground for a positive new occupation or appropriat
ion. The resulting objects withdraw from their originally inscribed use as
flower vases and become carriers of a utopian moment of change.21. - 28.0
