DESCRIPTION:The contents of the exhibition are as follows:\nThe artistic-s
 cientific web application Waves in the wood - The tree body as an audiovis
 ual data networkAtelier Polza and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental R
 esearch use 3D models\, sounds and interactive displays to visualise the s
 ap flow and environmental parameters of apple trees. The complex water bal
 ance data is translated into a sensory-spatial\, intuitive experience that
  makes plant physiological processes accessible in a new way.\nThe Cottoni
 d Studiesdemonstrator Kollektiv Plus X and the Fraunhofer IWU are investi
 gating the sustainable material Cottonid - a cellulose-based material with
  a long history. Using the example of a stool\, its potential in lightweig
 ht construction can be experienced. The work combines technical and social
  issues and invites visitors to engage with sustainable materials.\nThe in
 stallation Protocols in Process by Laura ImmlerInvisible processes from re
 search and everyday corporate life on the Chemnitz Technology Campus are t
 ranslated into a multimedia structure of sound\, material and coded inform
 ation. Between laboratory aesthetics and artistic intervention\, the space
  between secrecy and disclosure is made accessible in a sensual and intell
 ectual way.\nThe walk-in sound installation Rattling landscapes\, humming 
 enginesThe sound artist team led by Frederike Moormann\, embeat (Matthias 
 Millhoff) and PinPoint GmbH interweaves personal memories with the industr
 ial history of Chemnitz. The interactive audio walk combines sound art\, m
 ovement and technology to create an immersive archive of the automotive wo
 rld - between memory\, spatial perception and questions about the future.\
 nThe textile installation WALDMEISTER - hidden treasuresWiete Sommer\, tog
 ether with the STFI\, Undoyarn and the EscheLab\, tells of a Chemnitz that
  creates new cycles\, forms and communities from industrial traces\, old t
 extiles and local myths. The collaborative process does not end with the c
 ompletion of the work - through their interaction\, visitors themselves be
 come part of a joint creation.\nGuided tours take place every Thursday bet
 ween 16:00 and 18:00.Please book in advance. The starting times vary depen
