DESCRIPTION:This open workshop is aimed at anyone who would like to try th
 eir hand at bobbin lace-making (again). At the same time\, the workshop co
 mbines the craft of bobbin lace-making with new technologies: 3D-printed b
 eads are incorporated into bobbin-laced bracelets\, whilst bobbin-laced bo
 okmarks are sewn into frames produced by a 3D printer.\nBobbin lace bracel
 ets – the perfect introduction to bobbin lace-making and 3D printing! In
 cludes:\nSetting up the bobbins and attaching the threadCrossing and turni
 ng the bobbinsMaking the “braid”An introduction to 3D printingIncorpor
 ating beads from the 3D printer\nBookmark – a classic bobbin lace patter
 n following on from the ‘Flechter’\, includes:\nLearning to read bobbi
 n chartsMaking the linen stitchSewing the ribbon into a 3D-printed frame\n
 Both formats are always offered on the workshop date. The choice between a
  bracelet (beginner) and a bookmark (advanced) depends on the participants
 ’ existing level of knowledge. Recommended age: 8 years and over.\nA bas
 ic supply of materials is provided. Anyone who prefers to work with their 
 own materials is welcome to bring them along.\nThe studio is located on th
 e premises of Bunte Bude Chemnitz e. V. at Zöllnerstraße 18 in Chemnitz 
 (rear building\, last room on the upper corridor).
