 ation and the time afterwards.\nClaudia Wenzel\, born in Lutherstadt Witte
 nberg in 1959\, was a member of the ensemble at the Leipzig Schauspielhaus
  after studying acting. After reunification\, she performed at the Maxim G
 orki Theatre in Berlin and the Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg\, among ot
 hers. In addition to her theatre work\, she became known through numerous 
 television roles - for example in the series Unser Lehrer Doktor Specht or
  in the ARD soap Sturm der Liebe.\nIn her book\, Claudia Wenzel talks abou
 t the possibilities of leaving the GDR - and why she decided to stay anywa
 y. She describes her turmoil between political dissatisfaction and the str
 ong feeling of attachment to family\, friends and home. 35 years after the
  fall of the Berlin Wall\, she looks back on this formative time\, asks cr
 itical questions about the present and talks about the ruptures and opport
 unities that have arisen from reunification.\nThe reading is part of the L
 eseZeichen literature festival\, which is being organised by Mittelsächsi
 sche Kultur gGmbH for the third time from 31 October to 9 November 2025. D

 l locations throughout the district of Central Saxony - in places that are
  not immediately associated with literature. The festival thus sets a spec
