SUMMARY:Pavilion of Fear | Frei-Otto-Park
DESCRIPTION:What does fear do to us? Fear is an intense feeling that we al
l know. It can warn us\, shake us awake or even paralyse us. The Pavilion
of Fear\, which is travelling through Chemnitz in the run-up to the exhibi
tion Edvard Munch. Angst\, which is travelling through Chemnitz in the run
-up to the exhibition\, will create a special place of encounter. Anyone w
ho is curious is cordially invited to discover new perspectives and enter
into dialogue with other people about this strong feeling.\nA diverse prog
ramme will be offered with various participants from the fields of culture
\, music\, art\, sport and theatre. From making music together and creativ
e writing to exercise programmes - there is something for everyone! Fear i
s not only seen as something negative here\, but also as a force that can
drive us to tackle change and grow personally.\nOn Thursday\, July 3rd \,
the TU Library Chemnitz will once again kick off the Green with a reading
together with Uwe Hastreiter with children's books and texts for adults (3
 :30 - 4 pm).\nOn Friday\, July 4th\, author Anja Seidel will be reading he
r crime novels set around Chemnitz (3.30 pm - 4 pm). Afterwards\, the musi
cal DUO HACH with cello and violin will play experimental and classical pi
 eces about fear\, twice in a row with a one-hour break (16:15 - 17:00 / 18
  - 18:45).\nOn Saturday\, July 5th \, the pavilion starts again an hour la
ter (4 pm) with a reading and another Chemnitz thriller\, this time read b
y the author Hannelore Demel. The later opening times (4pm - 8pm) are espe
cially worthwhile for night owls\, because one hour after the pavilion clo
ses its doors\, the Fahrradkino Chemnitz e.V. opens at 9pm - 11pm. Grab yo
ur own bike and bring it with you and pedal away from fear while watching
 the film "Alles steht Kopf".
