DESCRIPTION:Visitors can look forward to a lively mix of international urb
 an art\, hands-on activities and workshops as well as a varied supporting 
 programme.\nThis year\, the UWE Festival once again welcomes numerous nati
 onal and international artists from the fields of street art\, graffiti\, 
 installation and sculpture to the former substation. As part of residencie
 s\, they will be working on new\, intensive works immediately before the f
 estival\, which the public can experience live on site.\n2025 is also the 
 year of the European Capital of Culture: Chemnitz holds the title - and th
 e Etzdorf substation is part of this special year of culture as the Makerh
 ub of Chemnitz 2025. In this context\, UWE will also offer a wide range of
  workshops and hands-on formats outside of the festival\, thus contributin
 g to the cultural diversity of the Chemnitz/Erzgebirge region. It remains 
 particularly important to the festival to give people in rural areas acces
 s to art and culture and to create spaces for exchange\, creativity and co
 mmunity.\nGet creative\, join in\, do it yourself - that's UWE! And Uwe pr
 ints with screens\, with textiles\, with Lego\, recycles\, sandblasts\, em
 broiders\, batiks\, glues\, casts sepia\, builds electronics\, makes art f
 rom scrap\, from plaster and many other things. The range of hands-on acti
 vities is once again diverse and surprising.\nUWE 2025 has put together an
  impressive line-up with after-show parties on both festival evenings. Liv
 e acts on 3 stages will keep visitors relaxed throughout the day or inspir
 e them at the evening events - from songwriting and hip hop to a very wide
  range of electronic dance music. The line-up includes A-Dreams-A\, Tears 
 for Bears\, Indiana Jane\, Digital Chaos\, Sput\, Sealt Covers\, DJ Mazine

  in Striegistal can be reached via the A4 motorway (in the direction of Er
 furt and Dresden)\, Hainichen junction B169 via Naundorfer Straße\, Waldh
