Karsten Mittag was born in Zwickau in 1964. He completed his studies of church music in 1987 at the Protestant Church Music School in Halle. At the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg he received his diploma as a designer (illustration) in 1996. Karsten Mittag has been a freelance painter and graphic artist since 1998 and takes part in exhibitions throughout Germany. Since 2014 he is a member of the BBK Vogtland e.V.
