The artist
<Steffen Volmer was born in Dresden in 1955. He completed his studies in 1981 at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, special class for applied and experimental art under Prof. Heinz Wagner and Hartwig Ebersbach. From 1982 to 1984 Steffen Volmer was also a master student of Prof. Gerhard Kettner at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. He lives and works in Chemnitz.
