Peter Kallfels was born in 1960 in Bremen and studied art at the Hochschule für Kunst und Musik in Bremen with Professor Karl Heinrich Greune. In 1988 he travelled to the USA for a study visit. Since 1985 Peter Kallfels is a member of the Bremen Literature Group. In 1992 he co-founded the Lichthausverein Bremen. Five years later Peter Kallfels moved to Chemnitz and has been a member of the Art for Chemnitz Association since 1999. Peter Kallfels has exhibited in Berlin, Bremen, Chemnitz and Munich, but also in New York, Mulhouse, Tokyo, Tel Aviv and Basel.
