Franziska Kurz was born in Cottbus and studied media communication at the TU Chemnitz. Prior to her studies, she trained as a photo media laboratory assistant and photographer and worked with the Dresden photographer Werner Lieberknecht. Franziska Kurz has also participated in workshops for photography and software as well as photographic documentation. For example, she photographed for the series “Macher der Woche” of the city of Chemnitz and she works as an assistant director at RedTower.
