Under this motto migrants reported about their life and work in Chemnitz on June 24th last year at weltecho. They described their work, leisure time, activities and experiences in the city. After the presentations the speakers discussed together with the audience about chances and potentials for a cooperation between locals and migrants in connection with the location factor culture.

Frizzi Seltmann from the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut e. V. and her trainee Azim Ahmadi (process mechatronics and coating technician) as well as Annett Huth-Höra from the Bildungs- & Innovationsportal Chemnitz and Malek Atalia, a trainee in geriatric care, reported on their “Chemnitzer(Lebens)Kultur”.

Since 2012, P3N Marketing GmbH and the Bundesverband Mittelständische Wirtschaft Chemnitz have been organizing the event series “Chemnitzer Monitoring – Views of a city”, which also includes the format “Wirtschaft macht Kultur”.

The Chemnitz Monitoring is a platform for the observation, discussion and demand of topics from Chemnitz and the region of South West Saxony. It is intended to develop good ideas, to interfere in processes and to push medium-sized initiatives.
