Under the direction of Franz Knoppe and Jane Viola Felber, the Bar Camp was part of the follow-up project “Undiscovered Neighbours”, which now bears the new name “Programme N.N. – New Narrative”.

It is a model project at the interface between culture, civil society and science and deals thematically with the topic of right-wing populism. At the core of the work are the actual causes of right-wing populism and the creation of new narratives and spaces for thought. The cultural institutions of Chemnitz are the main actors in this process. The project “Program N.N. – New Narrative” aims to strengthen them in their work against right-wing populism through training or knowledge trips. In this context, cultural productions such as plays on the topic of right-wing populism are to be initiated in Chemnitz on the basis of various narratives.

Franz Knoppe and Jane Viola Felber received not only constructive feedback during the Bar Camp, but also new opportunities for cooperation among the participants – one of their core concerns.
