The first hotel concert: KARAT presented an exclusive program in the pentahotel on Saturday evening. Because of the Corona restrictions the band had to cancel their 45th anniversary tour. In order to keep live music but also visible in times of crisis, two Chemnitz agencies and the hotel had joined forces and realized the project within three weeks with municipal support.
“Art must not be silent”: The band around singer Claudius Dreilich wanted to draw attention to the tense situation in the event industry with the concert at the same time. And why Chemnitz? “Because Chemnitz is going to be cultural capital. And we want that too”, the singer of the East-Rock legend announced in front of the 230 spectators in the rooms.
