The Sparkassen-Versicherung Sachsen and the Saxon State Ministry of Science and Art will award the Ursula Cain Prize – The Saxon Dance Prize – for the second time in 2017. From ten proposed productions, the jury selected “Faces of the Big City” by the Ballet Chemnitz (choreography: Reiner Feistel, Yiming Xu).

The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros and will be awarded on September 28 at the Semperoper Dresden as part of the “Vergessenes Land” ballet evening. The prize honours a choreographic work that demonstrates outstanding artistic quality and special aesthetics and represents a top performance of Saxon dance.

The prize will be awarded on 28 September in the Semperoper Dresden. The ceremony will take place as part of the ballet evening VERGESSENES LAND.
