As part of Chemnitz Capital of Culture 2025, the main project GELEBTE NACHBARSCHAFT focuses on the topic of “City and Forest”. Chemnitz residents and residents of the Capital of Culture region plant, care for and celebrate apple trees. The week-long planting festival begins with a musical, informative and mobile program on Sunday November  3 in the Hartmannfabrik Chemnitz. Walks through the Küchwald forest and the Chemnitz Botanical Garden will also take place on Sunday. From Monday, planting will take place in schools as well as in Chemnitz Prison, in apple variety gardens and in the Capital of Culture region.
Finally, there will be a winter festival for the whole family at the Jutta Müller Ice Sports Center. More information: chemnitz2025.de/aktuelles
