A whole day of hands-on fun. At the Makerfestival Erzgebirge, makers come together and impart their specific knowledge in a very practical way. At various hands-on stations, our guests from young to old design and experiment on the Fürstenplatz, breathe new life into old materials, build useful and decorative items for everyday life and immerse themselves in digital worlds.

What awaits you at the Makerfestival in Schneeberg

  • Innovative technology & traditional crafts to touch & try out
  • 3D printing, laser cutters, woodworking, textile printing techniques and much more.
  • Companies from the region provide a practical insight into their trade
  • Makerhubs from the cultural region present their offerings
  • Musical finale with tango night from 18:00

Free admission, catering will be provided on site from midday.

Makers, Business & Arts

A key objective of Makers, Business & Arts, a main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, is the promotion of creative tourism offerings and cross-sector collaboration between industry and creative professionals. The project is being implemented by the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH in cooperation with the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e. V. (Saxony State Association of Cultural and Creative Industries).
