Europe has been a laboratory and pioneer of avant-garde electronic music for over a century. The internationally active label raster-media has launched an open call in search of new, bold concepts and compositions.

As part of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, selected projects from the "raster. open call - soundtrack europe 2025" will be presented live for the first time in HELLERAU on 21 February 2025. The line-up includes exciting artists from the open call such as the young Estonian singer, violinist and composer Maarja Nuut, who initially dedicated herself to traditional Estonian songs and styles after a classical music education, before radically expanding this concept with electronic elements. The artists Camilla Pisani from Rome and Amelie Duchow impress with strong audio-visual concepts, the Dresden musician Alwin Weber with his very own electro experiments. The music of Hungarian musician Gábor Lázár, who released his latest album ""Reflex"" on raster-media in 2024, has been described by The Guardian as "glorious and actually pretty damn funky".

The concert project "raster. open call - soundtrack europe 2025" will be presented on several stages at the Festspielhaus in Hellerau, and the full programme will be published in January.
