Shops of the Chemnitz retail trade

Normally, the members of the garage communities meet once a year to discuss their concerns. This time, photographer Maria Sturm brought them together from dozens of different courtyards and in front of her camera. She met over 150 people and captured them in large-format portraits. The surroundings in which they were taken reveal a diversity that one might not have expected in the monotonous-looking garage landscapes. The pictures will be on display in 50 Chemnitz retail outlets from January to the end of April 2025.
