Urban Nature Walk

During a city walk, there are various stations where you can find inspiration on topics relating to urban nature. From facade greening to square utilisation to snack gardens, everything is included. The tour starts at Karl-Marx-Kopf and ends at 7 pm at Seeberplatz, where a film on the topic will be shown via a bicycle cinema.

17:30: Karl-Marx-Kopf (topic Gablenzbach)

17:50: Stadthallenpark (theme of urban nature)

18:05: Stadthallenpark and market (urban trees)

18:15: LIVING NEIGHBOURHOOD (project presentation)

18:30: Webergasse inner courtyard (roof and façade greening)

18:45: Seeberplatz (use of the squares)

19:00: Seeberplatz (bicycle cinema with urban nature film)

LIVING NEIGHBOURHOOD

GELEBTE NACHBARSCHAFT is a main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, focussing on sustainability and a green city. Joint planting campaigns bring neighbourhoods in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region closer together. The participatory project is flanked by suitable educational programmes and artistic activities.
