Whether in Boston, Bogota, Belfast, San Diego or Zurich - since 2014, the international "Build Peace" conferences have focussed on emerging challenges for peace in the digital age and how innovations can be used for peace work, democratic participation and civic involvement. Peace policy practitioners, activists, academics, political decision-makers, artists and technology enthusiasts from all over the world will come together.
Under the motto "Exploring the unseen - making the unseen visible", the aim this year in Chemnitz is to approach previously unseen and unheard perspectives, narratives, stories, people and places. Around 300 international guests from more than 60 countries are expected to attend.
The organiser and sponsor of the Build Peace Conference 2022 is the Chemnitz-based association ASA-FF e.V. with the programme neue unentd_ckte narrative. The event is being organised in cooperation with Chemnitz University of Technology, which is acting as host, and the Build Up association, which is feeding the format.
