In this programme, Alfons humorously illuminated the peculiarities of Europe. As a Frenchman living in Germany, he reflected: What does it mean to be French, German - European? What do democracy, tolerance and international understanding mean to us? Alfons balanced his own perspective on these topics with exciting contradictions. His personal story thus became a European dialogue full of wit and charm. Alfons also addressed school classes from year 9 onwards and invited the pupils to a discussion the morning after the performance.
