Crossborder Creatives

Creative across borders

P: Barbora Burianová"

CROSSBORDER CREATIVES promotes collaborations between creative professionals in Saxony and the Karlovy Vary region. Plans include collaborations with German cultural stakeholders, a joint database of cultural organisations from both regions and a catalogue of creative professionals. The project also includes intercultural dialogue and accompanying events on both sides of the border. The events will promote intercultural dialogue, including a Pecha Kucha night, residencies for German and Czech artists, two creative workshops for secondary school students on traditional design and crafts in the Ore Mountains, the Crossborder Artwalk – an organised walk through the city, galleries, nature or the local neighbourhood – and participation in the BERGSCHAU exhibition. Here, the best of the cultural and creative industries from the Ore Mountains and the Czech border region will be showcased in the Buntspeicher Zwönitz, after which the exhibition will travel on to Karlovy Vary and Ústí nad Labem.
