Creative across borders
CROSSBORDER CREATIVES promotes co-operation between people in creative professions in Saxony and the region around Karlovy Vary. The plans include cooperation with German cultural associations, a joint database for cultural organisations in both regions and a directory of creative professionals. At the centre of the project was the Bergschau / Kopec Kreativity - a project by 4K and Kreatives Erzgebirge e.V. - which highlighted the best of the cultural and creative industries in the Ore Mountains and the region along the Czech border. Bergschau / Kopec Kreativity started in the Buntspeicher Zwönitz and then moved on to the Karlovy Vary region. As part of CROSSBORDER CREATIVES, this exhibition was accompanied by intercultural initiatives such as artist residencies in Saxony and the Karlovy Vary region, creative workshops and events such as a Pecha Kucha event and the Crossborder Artwalk, an organised city tour. All projects aimed to promote cooperation and celebrate the regional creative scene across borders.
