Amateur teams from all over Europe played for the first time in a series of three tournaments in Trutnov in the Czech Republic, Świdnica in Poland and Chemnitz to determine an overall international winner. There are a few unwritten rules in curling: for example, that you decide in favour of your opponent in the event of a dispute. Or that the winner of a game invites the losing team for a drink - and that the losers don't choose the most expensive drink. Fairness is the top priority. This is another reason why curling is always a mixture of sport and socialising - and deeply integrative: part of the 2025 final tournament in Chemnitz was also a German championship for deaf curlers.
