The EuroBean Chocolate Festival has been a European festival since 2016. Visitors can learn about the origin, growing conditions, and handmade production of cacao – bean to bar – promoting awareness about fair-trade cacao and sustainability. This European cultural capital year, the festival is expecting 50 chocolate makers from Europe and beyond. A special feature will be the link from Chemnitz to partner cities Manchester, Tampere, Łódź, and others. In collaboration with Tales of Transformation at Industriemuseum Chemnitz, narrative contributions explain the transformation of industrial locations. Experience industrial culture and innovations in industrial production at tastings, a children’s program, a chocolate rally, workshops, and concerts as well as catered meals and a colourful marketplace. This festival is for young and old, and of course, for chocolate lovers.
