The team from the Capital of Culture project #3000Garages invites you to the third and final garage consultation: artist Martin Maleschka is collecting found objects from garages for his exhibition "Ersatzteillager", which opens in October. He has already collected an original Trabi speedometer and a home-made roof rack for the Shiguli on loan. Other treasures and everyday objects with history are in demand. At this year's Simson and MZ meeting in the Museum für sächsische Fahrzeuge, objects from garages are once again being sought that can be shown in the exhibition until the end of the Capital of Culture year.

Ersatzteillager

Ersatzteillager - an artistic installation by Martin Maleschka and Chemnitz garage users. In three collection campaigns in spring and summer 2025, garage users can entrust their loaned items to the artist and exchange ideas with him and the project team in person. #3000Garagen is a main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 and aims to shed light on Chemnitz's garages, the people who use them and their stories. Together with garage users and communities, a wide range of cultural projects are being realised.
