#3000Garages Trail

Explore the Chemnitz garage landscape independently at ten locations

Event information

Date & Time

All day

Location

Chemnitz

entrance free

With stops at these stations, you can take an independent stroll through Chemnitz garages - including one that may resemble your own, but also the high-rise garage built in 1928 and the vehicle shed of Villa Esche, probably the oldest garage in Chemnitz. Individualised information stations and encoded fun facts to discover at each station were created by budding designers from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. Each design team developed an ensemble of urban furniture for information, rest and contemplation. Sections of the designs were realised by the students in their original size. There is no fixed order, the tour can be started and ended at any station. The #3000Garagen-Parcours works analogue and digital.
