In preparation for the European Capital of Culture year, buildings are being renovated and prepared for a new use and areas are being remodelled and redesigned throughout the city. The bid book, which was used to win the title of "European Capital of Culture 2025" in 2020, sets out the strategy and the major themes. Chemnitz may not (yet) have a hop-on hop-off bus, but it does have the CVAG! The "Chemnitz 2025 Tour FLUSS" takes you from the city centre to Altendorf and Rottluff - on bus route 32.
