Garage Campus

The Garagen-Campus, the former tram depot on Zwickauer Straße, is one of the intervention sites for Chemnitz 2025.

Since spring 2023, the Garagen-Campus has been transformed into a large construction site. All interested parties are cordially invited to follow the planning and construction progress.

The construction stop is open: Every last Friday of the month at 3 pm, the area and the construction changes are shown during a short tour. Sturdy shoes and safe clothing are recommended - helmets and waistcoats are provided. After the tour, visitors are invited to enjoy a coffee with building foam and to discuss what is happening on the Garagen-Campus.

The Garagen-Campus is one of a total of 30 intervention sites. These are infrastructure projects linked to the Chemnitz 2025 programme - not just as future event venues, but as places whose transformation can have a far-reaching impact on the city community.
