The artists Maja Simišić (from the Netherlands) and Shubhangi Singh (from Finland) have been guests on the Sonnenberg since 14 March. They are living here, getting to know the city, meeting people from Chemnitz and developing new artistic ideas. They are accompanied by Chemnitz artist Valentin Mici, who is also realising his own project. At the final presentation, the artists will show what they have been working on and want to engage in dialogue with people from Chemnitz.
From 14:00 | Valentin Mici | Rüdiger-Alberti-Park
Valentin shows photographic portraits of Sonnenberg residents. The project opens up a space for conversations about privilege, marginalisation and solidarity.
15:20 - 15:50 | Shubhangi Singh | Station: Lokomov (Augustusburger Str. 102, 09126 Chemnitz)
Invitation to ice lollies made from plants from the Botanical Garden in Chemnitz, about whose colonial history Shubhangi will talk.
16:15 - 16:40 | Shubhangi Singh | Station: Chemnitz Open Space (Brückenstraße 10, 09111 Chemnitz)
Here Shubhangi will show a video work that deals with time, memory and the public sphere - inspired by the public clocks in the city.
17:00 - 17:30 | Maja Simišić | Station: Theaterplatz
Performance of a "love/break-up song" ballad to Germany. In her autobiographical piece of music, Maja reflects - accompanied by live music - on her ambivalent relationship with the country.
At these meetings, you can get to know the artists' projects, ask questions or simply talk to them. Other spontaneous events or meetings can take place the week before. To stay up to date, information will be shared via Instagram instagram.com/dialogfelder or the website dialogfelder.de.
