Through artistic interventions, Chemnitz's Sonnenberg could be seen as a versatile urban space. To this end, a total of 6 international artists together with 3 local artistic positions explore the thematic focus of "favour" in 2025. Privilege, inequality, scarcity and abundance - these contrasts characterise societies worldwide. In April, Shubhangi Singh and Maja Simišić, together with Valentin Mici, will publicise their residency process in an intervention. Singh works across different media and explores urban space as a place of power and encounters, identity and memory. Multimedia artist Simišić scrutinises social role models and our perception of identity. Valentin contributes his photographic practice and accompanies the residency as an actor in the local cultural scene.
