The experimental printing processes can also be easily repeated at home - without the need for expensive equipment. On two productive weekend days, we will explore together what is possible with a pasta machine, cola, linoleum and other objects.
Analogue printing techniques in art are characterised by their handcrafted nature and individual, often unpredictable results. In contrast to digital processes, which can be precisely controlled, analogue techniques create unique pieces through the physical interaction between artist, material and tool. These methods, such as woodcut, etching, lithography and screen printing, offer amateur artists an intensive exploration of artistic fundamentals. The challenging learning process makes it possible to develop a deep understanding of creative processes and discover authentic forms of expression that stand out from mass-produced and digital artworks.
Photos of city views of Augustusburg and the surrounding area will be used as templates. You are also welcome to bring your own individual templates to work with. The workshop is suitable for people aged 14 and over and participation is limited to 12 people, so please register at nadine@aufweiterflur.org. It is possible to take part on both days or just one day. The workshop starts at 11am.
The workshop is part of the event series "333 Stunden Werkstatt der Wunder", a project within the framework of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025. This measure is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget adopted by the Saxon State Parliament and by federal funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as well as funds from the City of Chemnitz.
