in 1927, the new forge with a lift and clock tower designed by architect Erich Basarke was built. This 63 metre high brick tower with clock and bell mechanism, decorated with brackets, crenellation and spire, became the company's landmark. The clock tower still bears witness to the self-confidence of the former owners and is a reminder to this day that this was once Germany's largest factory for textile machinery.
