Europe is heterogeneous and at the same time sees itself as common - common in history and experience. Together with artists from Romania, Georgia, Russia, the USA and Germany, the four major city theatres of the Capital of Culture region approach this shared space of experience and interpret one and the same stage design in different ways. The four world premieres Der Clown und Europa (Freiberg), Versuch über meinen Großvater (Chemnitz), EUdaimonía (Plauen-Zwickau) and Call It Home (Annaberg-Buchholz) tell of clowns and laughter in Europe, of entanglements in German fascism, of home and migrant experiences in the Capital of Culture region. Inside Outside Europe premieres in Chemnitz on 12 April 2025 and then travels from city to city. You can also experience the individual productions in the schedules of the partner theatres.
