International Light Art Festival Chemnitz "Light our Vison " (LOV) 2025

For the 3rd time, the Light Art Festival is bringing international & regional light art to the city of Chemnitz. The focus in 2025 is on urban development and social change. The central location is Marienplatz - a previously unused area in the city centre.

International light artists illuminate buildings and areas in the city centre as part of a light festival. In the spirit of the Capital of Culture motto, unseen potential is visualised, overlooked aspects are made visible and attention is drawn to seemingly forgotten aspects. With the light festival "Light our Vision", LOV for short, the protagonists give all Chemnitz residents and visitors atmospheric evenings that awaken a longing for more, for more colour and courage to design public spaces, for more vision in urban design and more will to transform. Because nothing has to stay as it is. Especially not in Chemnitz.
