To mark its 10th anniversary, the Musikmeile will feature a line-up that presents a wide range of musical genres and brings together both local and international talent. New this year is a special family day on Sunday, 4 August, which offers a varied programme for young and old.

With the aim of bringing diversity to Chemnitz, the Bandbüro Chemnitz e.V. association is committed to promoting up-and-coming talent. This focus on promoting up-and-coming artists is not only at the heart of the association's mission, but also enables it to introduce the public to a broad spectrum of musical genres and promising talents. In addition to its function as Contact and service provider for musicians and bands, the Musikkombinat is maintained - the first "start-up centre for bands" in East Germany.

On Friday, already known from previous years as Metal Day, bands such as Goat Generator and Park + Riot from Leipzig will rock the stage. Headlining from Frankfurt will be the powerful sounds of The Tex Avery Syndrome, who will thrill the audience with their unique hard sound, characterised by breakdowns paired with groove parts. The line-up will be complemented by up-and-coming local acts such as newcomer DAST and other local bands, promising a spectacle for all fans of harder music.

On Saturday, the music mile offers an eclectic mix of indie, pop, punk and rap, with something to suit every taste. A special highlight is the addition of an electronic component to the genres by the acts Radio Bato from France and the up-and-coming newcomers VBRTNS and freuth from Chemnitz. The pop duo ELL, who have recently moved to Chemnitz, also deserve special mention. Another highlight of the evening is the intercultural meeting of local rapper Skrab and rapper Walass, who is part of the band Radio Bato. To round off the Saturday, the band Leftovers from Austria will take to the stage and provide an energetic highlight on Saturday evening with their hard, German-language punk rock music.

New this year is the additional family day on Sunday, 4 August, which will add another highlight to the Musikmeile. On this day, visitors can look forward to a colourful programme of activities and music specially tailored to families. From hands-on activities to relaxed or even danceable music - the Family Day offers entertainment for all age groups and ensures that the Musikmeile is a festival for the whole family.
