The "NONSTOP Europa!" festival explores the importance of open borders for respect and tolerance with guest performances from the Czech Republic and Poland. In addition, the German Theatre Almaty brings in exciting perspectives. A supporting programme and a drama school meeting round off the festival.

Europe's policy of open borders makes us all neighbours. As part of the NONSTOP Europe! festival from 1 to 3 May 2025, Chemnitz Theatre will be exploring what this means for our democratic values such as respect and tolerance with guest productions from the neighbouring countries of the Czech Republic and Poland. The German Theatre from Almaty (Kazakhstan), which has made a name for itself with its experimental and modern productions and opens up exciting perspectives, will also be a guest in the Capital of Culture year. The festival will be complemented by a varied supporting programme and the transnational drama school meeting.
