Planting campaign with Gabriela Oberkofler and Jacob Strobel.

The urban gardening campaign "seeds & seats" is intended to create a conciliatory image that does not lecture or judge. Beds and plants will be installed in the centre of Brückenstraße to create a green oasis in the urban jungle that invites people to linger. It is intended to be an image of a new beginning - an image that does not want or need anything. Initially, it is about fulfilling a function: namely that you can sit down. The place should convey the feeling: "This public space is part of the city I live in and is therefore open and natural for me and others". Only in a second moment is it about conveying the values of an open society.

Surrounding the flowerbeds are interpretations of the EW 1192 chair - the most widely used kitchen chair in the GDR. At the time, it was a completely anonymous everyday product that fulfilled its function millions of times without causing a stir. It did so with such bravura and longevity that the chair, which has the potential to become a classic, still furnishes prefabricated kitchens, shared flats, hip bars and churches today - or is doing so again.

among those present are:

Mayor Michael Stötzer (initiator), Alexander Ochs and other guests from the world of politics
