The digital workshop offers space and a unique platform for technology enthusiasts and creative people who want to turn their ideas into reality and is aimed at anyone who is keen to try things out and share their knowledge and skills with the community. Various workshops and demonstrations will show the wide range of possibilities offered by modern manufacturing techniques - from 3D printing, CNC milling and laser cutting to plotters, embroidery machines, soldering irons and injection moulding machines. Whether working with materials such as wood, filament, acrylic glass, textiles, metal or vinyl - there is something for every creative mind in the digital workshop. Lehngericht Augustusburg has prepared a variety of mini-workshops and hands-on activities for the opening:

Interactive AI in dialogue

The artist duo Vrady is presenting an innovative, participatory art project. This interactive installation uses sensors to scan and digitise "the human" and present it artistically and graphically. The artists call it "Emotion-Blender" and addresses the following questions: How are people feeling? What emotions are they confronted with? What feelings develop during their stay and in dialogue with others? Everyone can leave their own emotions and thus create a personal work of art. The emotions are measured using facial expression recognition software and visualised in real time. The visualisations are projected onto screens and onto the façade of the Lehngericht and surrounding buildings. This offer is supported by the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony and financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament.
