Platzvisionen: Make it your place

On Saturday, 17 August, an event in the series "Platzvisionen - Platzgeschichten - Platzgestaltung" (visions of squares - stories of squares - square design) will focus on design perspectives for Stefan Heym-Platz in Chemnitz, the city of Heym's birth.

Stefan-Heym-Platz is in urgent need of an upgrade - the event invites all citizens to use the square intensively, try it out, learn about the history of the square and the buildings, form an opinion about the current state and develop ideas for the future. The results will be presented to the city authorities as suggestions for redesigning the square.

Initiated by the "Chemnitz - Capital of Culture 2025" working group of the Saxony Chamber of Architects and supported by the Baukultur für Chemnitz association, visions for the square will be developed on this day together with architects, urban planners, neighbours, citizens and interested parties.
