The Stadtsportbund Chemnitz e. V. has drawn up a guideline for honouring sporting achievements at state level and above. This part of the SPORTS UNITED week is intended to be a legacy component. From 2025, the Stadtsportbund will organise an annual sports awards ceremony (Sports United Awards). The awarding of the Sports United medal in bronze, silver and gold will recognise the outstanding achievements of athletes and teams. in 2025, the first awards ceremony will take place in the stadium building on Gellertstraße. This format is also intended to highlight sporting achievements beyond the mainstream, across all ages and abilities - in line with the motto C the unseen.
