A theatrical city tour through the "working-class city" of Chemnitz - from a completely new perspective! The audience travels in an old Ikarus bus past the Karl Marx Head, factories, the football stadium - typical places of the working-class city. But isn't there more to it than that?

Der Bus ist abgefahren (The bus has left) shows female perspectives on the topic of work: What circumstances make it possible for women* to work? What are the prerequisites for this? What is all work?

Women* who live in Chemnitz or the surrounding area shape the project - with and without migration experience, with and without disabilities, of all ages and different classes. They play their own stories in leading or minor roles and thus add important perspectives to the narrative about Chemnitz!

The audience experiences a varied city tour. Music, dance, puppet theatre and performance - developed by Chemnitz residents themselves - await the guests at unusual and special locations. Chemnitz from a completely new perspective!
