The Necks are one of Australia's great cult bands.

Chris Abrahams (piano), Tony Buck (drums) and Lloyd Swanton (bass) conjure up a chemistry that defies orthodox description.
With their lengthy pieces that evolve slowly and in the most mesmerising ways, often carried by an insistent, deep groove, The Necks' eighteen albums stand up to repeated listens.
The deceptive simplicity of their music unfolds new charms with each listen. The Necks' music is neither avant-garde, nor minimalist, nor ambient, nor jazz, but possibly unique in the world.
The Los Angeles Times spoke of a "magician's troupe masquerading as a piano trio".
