Location

Chemnitz, Industrial Museum

The Truth Marks workshops bring together students and older people who are learning English. The workshops offer an intergenerational opportunity to engage creatively with language and develop writing projects together.

The workshops are led by the English author Julia Davis-Nosko, who is part of the writing organisation Commonword in Manchester. Participants have the opportunity to write their own texts and explore creative forms of expression. The resulting works can be published in a "zine" (a small magazine) or presented in the form of short videos and online formats. The focus is on personal perspectives on Chemnitz as well as the past, present and future of the city.

There is also the opportunity to combine writing in English with your own native language and thus experiment bilingually.
