Under the title "WERT:SCHÖPFUNG", 15 talented artists and creative minds present their works, which have been created from reused, supposedly useless materials: From wood and paper to old typewriters and leftover jeans. The vernissage on 11 October at 6 pm is the kick-off event.

The weekend focuses on art, culture and creativity and is organised by the Lößnitz Makers - the people behind the Chemnitz 2025 Makerhub #diemacherei.

Makerhubs

Nine Makerhubs in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region will become places where people can learn from each other and create something new together. They are also places where designers, craftspeople, entrepreneurs, the next generation of skilled workers and makers from all over the world come together. Visitors and creative tourists can experience regional culture and traditions at workshops. The Makerhubs are part of the Makers, Business & Arts programme. This main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is all about promoting creative tourism offerings and cross-sector collaboration between industry and creative professionals. The project is being implemented by the Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH in cooperation with the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e. V.
