Tango, like all music, can be heard "vertically". This means that different musical lines can be heard at the same time. Recognising them gives us a greater capacity for expression. This allows us to choose WHAT to dance and HOW to dance it.
The following points will be dealt with in this workshop:
- Rhythm and melody
- Marcato 4 and Marcato 2 (the dancer)
- Pulso / pulse beat
- Frase / Phrase
- Descanso Melódico I / Melodic pause I
It is recommended to participate in the workshop as a dance couple, but it is not obligatory.
