Light our Vision

Discovering Chemnitz in a new light: for the third time, international light artists from all over Europe illuminated buildings and areas. The unique Chemnitz Light Art Festival saw itself as an artistic intervention and a vision for urban development. In keeping with the Capital of Culture motto ‘C the Unseen’, hidden potential was illuminated and the city centre was brought to life with tens of thousands of people. It was a shared passion for the city that drove the visionary initiators from the fields of architecture, urban planning and business to help shape Chemnitz in a sustainable way. Because nothing had to stay the way it was. Especially not in Chemnitz.
