Light our Vision

Discover Chemnitz in a new light. For the third time, international light artists from all over Europe will illuminate buildings and city spaces. The Chemnitz Light Art Festival is a one-of-a-kind event, conceived as a vision of urban development through artistic intervention. In the spirit of the Capital of Culture motto »C the Unseen«, we will illu­minate hidden potential, and tens of thou­sands of people will enliven the city centre. Fueled by their shared passion for the city, the visionary initiators from the fields of architec­ture, urban planning, and busi­ness help shape Chemnitz in a sustainable way. Because there’s no reason why things have to stay as they are – certainly not in Chemnitz.
