Makerfestival Erzgebirge
Craft. Print. Saw. Chat. Laser-engrave. Be amazed!
A whole day of hands-on activities! The Maker Festival Erzgebirge brought together makers who shared their specific knowledge in a very practical way. At various hands-on stations, our guests of all ages designed and experimented in the market square and around the ‘Muhme Campus’, breathing new life into old materials, building useful and decorative items for everyday use and immersing themselves in digital worlds.
After the Makerfestival Erzgebirge had stopped in Zwönitz in 2023 and Schneeberg in 2024, Lößnitz hosted the event in 2025, the year of the Capital of Culture.
When? 23. August 2025
Where? Lößnitz, Marktplatz
Lößnitz MAKERS – #diemacherei e.V., Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft
Sachsen e.V., Makerhubs im Erzgebirge
What visitors expected at the Makerfestival
The day began at 10 a.m. with a communal breakfast in the market square.
Plenty of chairs, a wide variety of delicacies and an open atmosphere invited everyone to arrive and chat. The idea was that everyone brought something to eat or drink and shared it with others, or let themselves be surprised by what their table neighbours had brought.
Jam, cake, bread, spreads and much more. True to the motto: ‘Lößnitz served up’ – a convivial start to a day full of ideas, encounters and creative energy.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the market square and the area around the ‘Muhme Campus’ were transformed into a large participatory area. Numerous stands invited visitors to try things out, get creative and discover new things.
