mountain sound & vinyl magic

Everything comes from the mountain

The mining and gryphon town of Ehrenfriedersdorf can look back on a proud mining tradition dating back over 800 years. What is less well known, however, is that there was an international ‘Schallplatten & Sprechmaschinenfabrik’ from 1930 to 1958. The project aims to bring this fascinating but rather unknown piece of the city's history back to life. In the Capital of Culture year, the project will be explored throughout the year through a series of exciting events and sub-projects. It encompasses a variety of aspects, ranging from historical events in the town and the region, to a wide range of cultural and hands-on activities and large-scale events. ‘Bergklang und Vinylzauber’ offers a multifaceted journey through the history and vibrant culture of Ehrenfriedersdorf.
