For three days, street artists from twelve nations transform the alleyways and squares of Chemnitz city centre into an open-air stage full of live music, clowning, artistry, juggling, fire shows, walking acts, art and street food. the HUTFESTIVAL, Chemnitz's festival of street art, is all about the diversity of art and the tangible proximity between the audience and artists. That's why everyone is invited to wear a hat - not just the artists, who pass their hat around after the performance.
