Makers, Business & Arts

The Makers, Business & Arts project builds bridges between creative makers, art, business and tourism. The programme develops offers for overarching collaboration, promotes the development of creative locations and is committed to the expansion of creative tourism. To this end, it works in the three sub-projects Tourism:creative, Makerhubs and Economy:creative.

Makerhubs

With nine Makerhubs in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region, WE places are being created: In the open workshops, people can be creative themselves - be it with handicraft activities, new technologies, cooking or gardening.

To the Makerhubs

Tourism:creative

By promoting creative tourism offers, guests in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region can experience local traditions. Tourismus:kreativ puts creative people and their diverse hands-on offers in studios and workshops centre stage. It invites visitors to work with the makers on site. Cultural heritage is brought to life and very special memories are created. One of the highlights is the Maker Advent with over 100 Christmas-themed hands-on activities.
